About Mahindra XUV500 Automatic

India's largest utility vehicle manufacturer, Mahindra and Mahindra has launched the updated version of its luxury SUV, XUV500 in the country. First introduced in the year 2011, this SUV has done extremely well for the company in terms of sales. After such a long gap, it has received some cosmetic updates both externally and internally. Technically, it remained to be the same like its outgoing model featuring a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel motor under the hood. It is mated to a six speed manual gearbox that transmits the torque output to the front wheels. However, in top end version, the output is transmitted to all four wheels. On the other hand, this latest SUV gets a brand new variant to its lineup christened as W10, which is placed above the existing top end variant W8. It is also made available with an option to choose between FWD and AWD drive formats. Now, the overall tally of variants has gone up to six. This top end trim is equipped with an array of equipments including a touchscreen infotainment system along with a DVD player and a high quality surround sound system.
