Almost a month into the launch of the BR-V, the SUV has managed to gather 9,000 bookings. As a result of this, the waiting period of the car has been extended up to two months. The BR-V was launched in the country with prices starting at Rs. 8.75 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the base trim and going up to Rs.12.90 lakh for the top-end variant. The SUV rivals the Hyundai Creta and Renault Duster, however, unlike the other two, it is a 7-seater and that may come across as an attractive proposition to large families. The BR-V is available with Honda’s existing 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines mated to 6-speed manual gearboxes, with the petrol offered with an automatic (CVT) option as well. The features list includes keyless entry and go, automatic climate control and an integrated music system with steering-mounted controls. The car has been well received in the market with initial reports indicating over 4,000 bookings since sales began on April 16th.
